Kier Travel and Works Update – 28 February 2017
A30 – Temporary short term closure of Cardinham Junction (aka Cardinham Gap) with Airfield Road
Please be advised that the current left-turn for westbound A30 traffic for access to the Cardinham area will be temporarily closed during Thursday 2nd and again on Tuesday 7th March 2017.
On Thursday 2nd March the temporary closure should only last for approximately 1 hour during the day between 9.00am and 3.00pm; this will enable the A30 carriageway (currently not being used for through traffic) to be completely planed off at the Airfield Road junction.
On Tuesday 7th March the temporary closure will last longer during the day between 9.00am and 3.00pm; this will enable the A30 carriageway (currently not being used for through traffic) to be completely resurfaced throughout the Airfield Road junction.
The diversion available to drivers is to continue west on the A30 in the contraflow – exit A30 at the Bodmin off-ramp – left-turn Cooksland Road (Nissan Garage) – left-turn Priory Road (A38) – left-turn Carminow Roundabout (A38 – Plymouth) – left-turn Turfdown Road (Crematorium) – continue via Fletcher’s Bridge to Cardinham or Mount area.
Please note: Access to the A30 from Lidcutt Road (for Bodmin) will not be affected at any time.
Kier apologise for the inconvenience that may be caused during this short term essential work to complete the resurfacing of the junction of Airfield Road and the westbound A30 carriageway. Unfortunately it is not possible to give a definitive time for the exact closure due to the specific nature of the work involved with planing and resurfacing.
We value your feedback.
